Surgical Hat
I have been sewing my men's
surgical hats for over 6 years. I have always loved to
sew. My daughter Jody attended Penn Valley College in
Kansas City, Missouri where she became a Surgical Tech.
She approached me to make her a scrub hat so she
wouldn’t have to wear the disposable hats. After making
a lot of different men's surgical hats, we finally
achieved the current style. At that point I was making
them for all of her friends. Her first job as a Surgical
Tech was with North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City,
Missouri and that started a new group of customers.
Before long I was going to the conferences and
considering starting my own business. I take pride in
watching the faces when someone looks at my hats for the
first time, or just finds that perfect pattern they
love. As well at stylish hats, I also try to make some
fun hats to lighten the atmosphere of the operating
room.
I hand select each fabric for the quality and style that
Debs Hats are known for. I make both women’s and men's
surgical hats. I purchase only small quantities of each
fabric as it is released each season. I also specialize
in coordinating bands on the women's hats for additional
styling. At this time I have 2 styles of hats. I already
have developed additional styles I will be adding to the
inventory soon. I take pride in each and every men's
surgical hat I make.
Debs Men's Surgical Hats are made from the finest
quality soft breathable materials available anywhere. My
hats are known for their durability. Each men's surgical
hat is carefully hand-constructed with no unfinished
edges to fray or unravel. Seams are turned for a no fray
feature. All pressure points are tacked for additional
strength. I make every hat with operating room standards
in mind.
